About

Housed within the Category A historic St David’s Memorial Church in Grafton, Kāhui St David’s is a dedicated home for music, remembrance, and community gatherings. Built in 1927 out of Oamaru stone and Kamo brick as a living memorial to World War One, the landmark was saved from demolition and purchased by the charitable Friends of St David’s Trust Kāhui Rangi Pūpū.

Today, the timber-lined Great Hall offers warm acoustics for chamber ensembles, choirs, contemporary performers, and community events. Alongside musical performances and annual Art of Remembrance commemorations, our spaces are available to hire for weddings, conferences, and celebrations of life.
