We opened Catfé Māo in 2023 to provide a safe, calm haven for rescued cats while helping them find loving forever homes. Located at 240 Broadway in Newmarket, our cat lounge sits on the first floor above Maggie Bakery, giving cats space to nap, play, and meet visitors at their own pace.
Every 50-minute admission includes a drink of your choice from our menu, from matcha lattes to fruit tea. Your visit directly supports the cats' everyday care, nutrition, enrichment, and medical attention provided in partnership with Broadway Vet.

Standard admission is 50 minutes and costs NZ$25 for adults or NZ$20 for children under 14. Every ticket includes one drink of your choice from our current menu.
We recommend booking ahead to guarantee your spot, but no online payment is needed. You pay for your admission upon arrival at the café.
Cake and food from Maggie Bakery are reserved for the downstairs seating area. Drinks may be taken upstairs into the cat lounge, following guidance from our team.
The upstairs lounge is strictly for our resident rescue cats. Leashed pets or pets in secure carriers are welcome downstairs at Maggie Bakery.
We do not have dedicated café parking, but public parking buildings and paid on-street parking spaces are available nearby across Newmarket.
