Save Auckland Music Theatre and we'll tell them you'd come back for rewards.About
Founded in 1919 as the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society, we are the longest-running community theatre company in the Auckland region. Over more than a century, we have brought hundreds of full-length musicals, revues, and plays to local audiences across iconic Auckland venues and our home theatre.
Completely volunteer-run, we operate out of the Westpoint Performing Arts Centre in Western Springs. We take pride in staging challenging, varied works while providing a hands-on training ground for performers, stage crew, and production technicians of all skill levels.
Alongside our staged productions, we support the wider arts community by offering our performance and workshop spaces, extensive props inventory, and wardrobe collection for hire.
